Project: a house plans store for DOM 5D, with parameter search, favourite projects, a blog and newsletter.
Challenge
The DOM 5D house plans store had to help people choose a product that is not bought on impulse. Customers compare area, style, number of rooms and additional packages, so a standard product list was not enough.
Saving favourite projects and narrowing results quickly also mattered. With this offer, users come back several times, compare options and only then decide whether to buy a digital version or ask about personalisation.
Solution
I prepared WooCommerce with parameter search, project categories, sorting and a favourites list. Customers can remove plans that do not fit and return to a shortlist without starting again.
I added a blog, newsletter, contact form and package choices during checkout. The store shortens the comparison process, while still leaving room for a decision that naturally takes time with a house plan.
Store colour palette
The palette is calm and technical, so plan parameters, filters and house cards stay readable during longer comparison.
Fonts used in the project
Sora gives structure to search sections, categories and plan names.
DM Sans makes parameters, package descriptions and blog content easier to read.
