Zatkalo Kakalo handmade home decor store
Project: a refreshed handmade home decor store for Zatkalo Kakalo, with a blog, newsletter and shop.
Challenge
The Zatkalo Kakalo handmade home decor offer needed a refreshed version that would show craft without losing the brand character. It was not meant to be an anonymous decor shop, but a place with a maker, product stories and inspiration for the home.
The previous version no longer felt fresh enough. Aneta needed a store, blog, newsletter and contact form in one layout, so she could build a community around the brand and sell home decor at the same time.
Solution
I rebuilt the site so the store and content worked together. Products have room for photos and descriptions, the blog leads through inspiration and the newsletter gives the brand a way back to people who want to follow new collections.
The layout was organised around craft, not around the technology itself. The site shows home decor, but also the person behind the brand and the reasons a customer comes back for more pieces.
Store colour palette
Blue and navy give the store structure, while light backgrounds leave space for craft photos and home decor inspiration.
Fonts used in the project
Sora keeps headings for the store, blog and newsletter sections under control.
DM Sans lets product descriptions and posts read without feeling like an advert catalogue.
