Project: an Idea For Design business card with a custom logo, prepared as my own printed contact material.
Challenge
The Idea For Design business card had to gather, in one small format, what I work on every day: websites, online stores and print graphics. Designing for your own brand is hard because there is no comfortable distance of an outside client.
The material had to be readable, consistent with the custom logo and simple enough not to feel outdated after a few months. A business card should help with contact, not tell the whole company story.
Solution
I prepared a business card based on the custom logo, strong contrast and a calm information layout. The key details are easy to find, and the graphic layer does not get in the way of using the material.
The design was prepared for print and online presentation. This meant the same direction could be shown in the portfolio and used as a real contact material.
