Thank-you drawing - a caricature for wedding witnesses
Project: two thank-you drawings for wedding witnesses, created as digital caricatures in Procreate.
Idea
The thank-you drawing had to feel more personal than a ready-made card with a signature. The client needed two pieces for the wedding witnesses, showing their looks and recognisable traits while staying light, funny and ready to hand over after printing.
The likeness mattered most. With this kind of gift, the joke only works when the person recognises themselves straight away, so I started with photos and short notes about the witnesses instead of drawing generic characters.
Execution
I prepared the sketches on an iPad, then refined the caricatures in Procreate. The digital process made it easy to correct proportions, expression and details before the drawings moved into the final version.
The finished files were ready for print and online use. The client received a gift that does not look like a template - each drawing carries its own detail and keeps a memory of real people.
